Not all Netflix shows are released on DVD, but Lucifer was never a typical Netflix series! Lucifer has been an unusual exception to the rule that most Netflix Originals never have a physical release and are exclusively available via streaming on Netflix.
Its first three seasons were released on DVD months after their FOX runs concluded, and there was concern that this marked the end of the series’ DVD run. Fortunately, Netflix and Warner Bros. In the fifth season, the stakes are greater than they have ever been. Secrets will be exposed, Lucifer will make a dramatic return from Hell, Chloe will reconsider her romantic prospects, Ella will discover a lovely person, and Amenadiel will adjust to fatherhood. During the first half of the season, Michael, Lucifer’s twin brother, takes the devil’s place on earth while Lucifer is in Hell.
Eventually, Lucifer will be forced to confront the ruin his brother created of his life. In addition, he will confront his love for Chloe and provide the answer to a topic that fans have been asking from the very beginning: “will they or won’t they?” God then makes his great debut during the second part of the season. Except for the fact that Lucifer never begged for this, he cannot wait to return dear old Dad back to where he came from. Surprisingly, the fifth season of Lucifer DVD contains few supplementary material. While previous box sets of Lucifer included unique featurettes and even comic-con panels, the season 5 DVD contains solely deleted sequences and a humor reel.
Is the Lucifer season 5 DVD purchase worthwhile?
Let’s begin with the supplementary features, as they are sometimes the determining factor for certain fans. In terms of supplementary content, Lucifer: The Complete Fifth Season contains roughly the same amount as the average modern season set to release. You have a large number of deleted sequences and a gag reel, but that is all.
it would have some fresh new content, such as supplementary segments reflecting on the season and the making of the musical episode, given that the series has concluded. Surely, they could have sneaked in some unseen footage for fans who missed the series and its great cast. However, it is becoming increasingly common for DVD and Blu-ray sets to contain simply the minimal essentials.
Even without the supplementary content, the fifth season of this fantastic show still results in an outstanding release. Season 5 featured some of the show’s best episodes to date and was an incredible season with many startling plot twists and incredible new stories. It was also the show’s most popular season throughout its Netflix run, which is cause for celebration and justifies the purchase.
While the season may have been divided into two parts, the DVD and Blu-ray edition include all 16 episodes, which is undoubtedly a plus.
