The short version: we don’t collect your data.
Rebate Tracker works offline and needs no account. Your rebates, receipts, and notes stay on your phone. We have no servers that receive your information, and the app has no ads, analytics, or tracking.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
None. We do not collect, receive, or have access to any personal information. The app does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or phone number.
The following information is stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage, so the app can work:
- Rebate entries: store names, purchase and rebate amounts, dates, deadlines, status, and notes
- Photos you add of receipts, rebate forms, and UPC barcodes
- Prepaid card details you choose to enter, such as balance and expiration date
- App settings and reminder preferences
Please don’t enter full card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive account numbers into notes. The app doesn’t need them.
3. Permissions the app asks for
Notifications
Used to show deadline and expected-arrival reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device.
Camera and photos
Used only when you choose to photograph or attach a receipt, form, or barcode. Images are saved inside the app on your device.
You can turn off either permission at any time in your Android settings. The app’s other features will keep working.
4. Sharing, selling, and third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your data, because we never receive it. The app does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking tools, and it makes no network requests that send your rebate data anywhere.
Stores, retailers, and manufacturers mentioned in the app (including Menards) are named only to describe the kinds of rebates you can track. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. If you visit a retailer’s or manufacturer’s website or phone number from the app, their own privacy policy applies.
5. Exports and device backups
If you use an export or backup feature, the file is created on your device and you decide where to save or send it. Android may also include app data in your device or Google account backups, depending on your phone’s settings. That is controlled by your device and your Google account, not by us.
6. Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete individual rebates and photos in the app. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android settings deletes all of its data. Because we hold no copy, we cannot recover deleted data for you.
7. Security
Your data is kept in the app’s private storage on your device, so its safety depends partly on your phone. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your device updated. Because data is not sent to us, there is no account or server that could be breached.
8. Children
Rebate Tracker is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
9. Your rights
Because we do not collect or store your personal information, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. This applies to all users, including residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws. You can manage everything yourself inside the app, and you can contact us with any question.
10. Not legal or financial advice
The dispute letter templates and reminders in the app are provided for convenience only. They are not legal advice, and we cannot guarantee that any rebate will be approved or paid. Always follow each rebate’s official terms and deadlines.
11. Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above, and we will tell you in the app before any new data collection begins.
