Amber Heard has stated that she has a variety of conflicting feelings about Johnny Depp following the trial, one of which is reportedly love… despite their bitter exchanges. The final clip from the actress’ interview with “Today” aired on Wednesday and a variety of topics were discussed, including how she feels about her ex.
Amber claims that JD is still somewhat dear to her, despite the fact that he sued her and won $8.35 million.
Savannah Guthrie references Amber’s own words about Johnny, in which she stated that she still loves him, and asks if this is still the case. AH says it is.
Amber was also asked if she believes Johnny has succeeded in ruining her globally, as he once alluded to via text, and she responded affirmatively, adding that she believes he could sue her again if she’s not careful. Savannah inquires about Amber’s young daughter and how she intends to one day explain this to her… Amber states that she will tell her the truth and be okay with it, as she believes she is on the correct side of history.
At one point in the full interview, Amber is asked about her credibility — including her unfulfilled $7 million pledge to the ACLU — and while she acknowledges that she shouldn’t have had to do so to be believed, she concedes that it may have played a role in the jury’s verdict against her. According to Savannah, the trial was all about character and dependability.
This week, the entire interview will air on “Dateline NBC” in what the network describes as previously unaired footage pertaining to evidence Amber believes should have been included in the case.
